Japanese restaurant Nobu to open in Singapore

Although they have yet to officially set up shop in Singapore, Nobu is already a household name in our part of the world – they are a true pioneer of Japanese fusion. And now, Nobu will open a Singapore branch at the Four Seasons Hotel in May.

True to celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s style of cooking, the menu will likely be similar to those at his 50 or so other restaurants around the world: a curious blend of Japanese and Peruvian. This is due to his three-year stay in Peru, where he had to replace many traditional Japanese ingredients with what he could obtain locally. One of his standout dishes, miso-marinated black cod, is set to make an appearance. Chef Nobu is also trained as a sushi master, so we can expect Nobu to be the next up-and-coming sushi restaurant in our little red dot.

As full details on the menu and the opening of the restaurant itself have yet to be released, this is all purely speculative. Those with keen eyes have noticed that the restaurant in Singapore is currently recruit staff.
