Centara Hotels & Resorts has confirmed an opening date of July 2023 for the Centara Grand Hotel Osaka.
Group Managing Director Thirayuth Chirathivat was recently in Japan for the project wrap-up event alongside fellow business partners from Taisei Corporation and Kanden Realty & Development, and took the time to visit the hotel site on Namba Street.
Construction is well advanced with the 35-story structure completed and overall progress approaching halfway.
When completed, Centara’s first property in Japan will feature 515 upscale accommodations, including bunk rooms and connecting rooms, making it an ideal destination for families, vacationers and business travelers. The hotel will also house a unique rooftop dining destination crowning the architectural masterpiece, as well as the country’s first Cenvaree SPA, fitness center, coworking space and sophisticated event spaces.
Centara’s foray into Japan highlights the group’s strategic goal of becoming one of the world’s top 100 hotel operators within five years with a portfolio of approximately 200 hotels and resorts, up from 89 properties currently.
