Japanese restaurant Judgemu will open soon in New Jersey.
The restaurant, which offers a wide variety of sushi and other Japanese dishes, will open in Cresskill on May 22.
Jugemu will replace Umeya, who has occupied the space at 156 Piermont Rd. since 1996.
A Grand Opening Ceremony will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 22.
The ceremony will include a whole tuna cutting demonstration, during which the tuna will be transformed into traditional sushi blocks.
The Japanese restaurant will offer an assortment of Tokyo-style sushi and other authentic Japanese dishes, such as udon and miso soup, tempura and edamame. It also offers a large list of sakes.
The Jugemu’s interior will include seating alongside a sushi bar and a dining room equipped to accommodate around 45 people.
The sushi spot will be open Tuesday to Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
