Saber signs distribution agreement with Japanese group Hotel Keihan

(November 09, 2021)
Saber has signed a new distribution agreement with Osaka-based Hotel Keihan Group.

With this agreement, the Keihan Hotel will be linked to hundreds of thousands of travel agents around the world via GDS connectivity solutions powered by Saber Hospitality Solutions’ innovative SynXis platform, enabling the group to increase bookings nationally, regionally and globally as the industry’s recovery accelerates.

The Keihan Hotel operates 8 hotels with approximately 1,660 rooms in the areas along the Keihan Railway, which is used by business travelers and tourists visiting Osaka and Kyoto.

The group has properties in other key regions of the country, including three in Tokyo, Nagoya, Sendai and Sapporo.

The company also owns a property which is the official partner hotel of Universal Studio Japan in Osaka.

One of the unique selling points of its hotels is that most of them are within a 5 minute walk of the nearest train station.

In addition to linking the chain’s portfolio to multiple distribution channels, the deal also includes the ability for the Keihan Hotel to connect with large corporations and launch tenders.

The brand will have access to Saber Consortia services to reach potential customers through a network of consortium travel agencies and preferred TMC agreements, helping the hotel connect with businesses, increasing both ADR and le occupancy rate.

GDS users can now locate Keihan Hotel properties using the dedicated chain code “YX”.
